Year of establishment of school: 2013, JGI Schools under the banner of Arka Educational and Cultural
Trust started with a mission to build a community of leaders, over a foundation of shared beliefs,
values and ethos.
JPS SHIVAMOGGA was established in the year 2013. Nestled in the beautiful sylvan environ, amidst
the blessings from heaven, far from the maddening crowd, JPS SHIVAMOGGA is a phenomenon in
itself. With a diverse student body, the school has been winning accolades in all fields, be it sports
or academics. However, the school would not have been where it is today, without its state-of-the-art
infrastructure and well maintained resources that allow students to begin their journey towards
achieving their dreams.
Our School is a co-educational day school from Kindergarten to Grade 8; nurturing students into
all-round development of their personalities in consonance with a holistic approach to education so as
to possess highly developed physical, socio-emotional and intellectual skills. Our methodology of
teaching is learner –centered and teachers provide an environment that is conducive to active learning.
We provide learning opportunities to participate in a variety of activities through curricular and
co-curricular activities.
The technological aspect is not limited to laboratories, but has been integrated with the education of
its students - the Smart Class concept being a choice example, which not only prompts students to learn,
but also assists those who cannot. The well-spaced, ventilated and airy classrooms provide students with
an environment that is highly conducive to learning.
JPS Shivamogga has grown in leaps and bounds and has garnered a strong repertoire to become one
of the highly sought after schools in the Tier II city. Our aim is not only academic excellence but also
to provide a holistic environment for the all-round development of each individual where students would
be acquiring various skills; building self-concept, sense of enterprise, aesthetic sensibilities and
sportsmanship.

Our goal has always been to cater to the educational needs of the children by providing a common
programme of education and to initiate and promote experimentation and innovativeness in education in
collaboration with other bodies like the CBSE & NCERT. Also to develop the spirit of national
integration and create a sense of "Indianness" among children.
